Lily Ayotte is an interdisciplinary actor and writer who works out of Boston, Massachusetts.

Since graduating with BA in Theater and Psychology from Suffolk University in 2022, Lily Ayotte has been pursuing her dream of being in the creative world of theater and film. She has found that her dedication, passion, and hard work have lead her to some amazing opportunities around the New England area.

She began her acting career with Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, where she participated in both their 2021 and 2022 apprentice program. From there, she was lucky enough to remain with the company for their 2023 production of Romeo and Juliet, where she played Juliet. She also had the pleasure of making her debut on the main stage of the Boston Commons with Macbeth. During this time, she also had the pleasure of working with Hub Theatre Company of Boston for their production of Into the Breeches! and has continued to work with them on other projects, such as Tartuffe and, most recently, The Lesson (Feb-Mar. 2026). One passion she has developed over the years is working on new work or with new companies. In 2025, she was able to do both as she worked with new-founded company The Hive Theatre Company on their production of The Wolves. She also originated the role of The Artist in Revolution Stage Works production of a new play, The Statue.

She has also continuously worked with film companies around New England on various projects. She began her film career in 2021, while still in college, and has been developing her skills on camera ever since. The future will see the release of some exciting works, including her first feature-length film, Outside Salem. Stay tuned!

In her junior year of college, she began honing her skills in playwriting, eventually finishing her one-act piece Put to Rest. She then directed this piece as her senior project, inspiring her to continue to produce her work. After graduation, she began writing her first full-length script, Family Vacation. This was chosen for the 2024 Broadway Bound Theatre Festival in New Canaan, CT, where she self-produced the piece with the help of the festival. She continues to write new work and looks forward to sharing it with audiences. Her current work-in-progress is entitled Signed Anonymous, which she hopes to be her debut novel.
